Doomsday Destroyer Closure

The Doomsday Destroyer is a thrilling 360-degree swinging ride that has been captivating thrill-seekers since its opening on September 24, 2016. Manufactured by Intamin, this Suspended Twin Hammer ride stands at an impressive height of 21 meters and boasts a capacity to accommodate 720 people per hour. With two pendulums flanking a central tower, each equipped with seating gondolas allowing guests to dangle their legs freely, the Doomsday Destroyer delivers an exhilarating experience as the gondolas swing in opposing directions, eventually completing full loops.

Since its opening, the Doomsday Destroyer has been plagued by technical issues, leading to extended maintenance periods and safety concerns. One notable incident occurred on January 31, 2018, when the ride's safety operating system malfunctioned, causing it to automatically engage and trap guests upside down for three minutes. No firefighters or paramedics were attended the scene. Despite scheduled maintenance in August 2018, the ride's problems persisted. By mid-2023, the Doomsday Destroyer underwent modifications, removing its full 360-degree cycle. Now operating solely as a swing without inversions.
