First Impressions of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains Event

First impressions upon arrival were very good! The fountain looks amazing in person, and it’s very nice to see the Joker statue from Arkham Asylum.

As I rounded the corner onto Main Street, I was met with my first surprise of the day: Bugs and Lola in their new costumes, dressed up as Superman and Wonder Woman respectively. This was closely followed by two more surprises: a new look for both Riddler and Penguin! Definitely unexpected, but they look great in my opinion! So, my day was already off to a great start.

Then another great surprise: Joker and Harley do a new mini-show before a few of their meet and greets, which I definitely didn’t expect but absolutely loved seeing. All of the shows, characters, and the parade were amazing, and the cast were so appreciative of my Riddler costume.

Shaggy and Scooby were an unexpected highlight. They must have greatly appreciated the fact I went to see them a few times, as they can only be found on the other side of the park down near Wild West Falls during the event. This allows the heroes and villains to shine on Main Street, I guess. But yes, they were so happy to have seen me.

Worth noting these things for people who it may affect: prior to the parade, they fill Main Street with smoke to enhance the lights and lasers during the parade, so people with asthma or breathing difficulties may struggle with that. Also, people who are uncomfortable with loud noises should be mindful that the music gets very loud, especially depending on where you watch the parade. The use of lasers and light effects may also affect people with epilepsy or photosensitivity.

All up, it was a great event, and I personally hope to experience it a couple more times.
