However, on Monday, every major ride except Green Lantern and Justice League: Alien Invasion! was down now down, resulting in an less than desierable situation for Movie World. This was pointed out by users on theΒ Parkz Forum
On Tuesday, Batwing reopened with the park; however, Superman Escape has remained closed. There's speculation that Superman Escape's hydraulic launch mechanism may be the issue.
This isn't uncommon for this ride system. Debuing in 2005 almost 20 years ago, features a unique hydraulic launch system. The ride's launch track consists of a catch car in the center, propelled by compressed air, with brake fins on either side to ensure safety in the event of a launch failure.
The middle light grey bar represents the catch car, with the catch dog located on the third car attaching into the dark grey part of the catch car. The white bars on the left and right of the catch car track hold the brake fins (dark grey), which come up in the event that the launch fails.
Rumours also suggest issues with the compressed air system for the brakes.
We also have reports that the park is trying to reopen the ride as soon as possible, especially considering the limited capacity that the park is operating at during this time. Reference:Β Warner Bros. Movie World Fan Club
