Village Roadshow Theme Parks Announces Annual Pass Price Hikes
Village Roadshow Theme Parks has announced upcoming price increases for two of its popular annual passes, sparking disappointment amongst customers.
The Locals One Pass and Locals One Pass Lite, offering entry to Movie World, Sea World, and Wet’n’Wild, are set to see a price rise soon - though the new pricing has yet to be disclosed. The "Locals One Pass" currently costs $219 (or $189 to renew), while the "Locals One Pass Lite" is priced at $179 for new purchases and $169 for renewals.
Village Roadshow is promoting this change with “Beat the Price Rise” notices, urging customers to buy now at the current rates before October 31 for the Lite Pass and November 11 for the full One Pass. However, without transparency around the future prices, many passholders see this as an anti-consumer move, especially given that Village Roadshow reduced pass prices earlier in the year. The lack of clear pricing and the rapid back-and-forth in cost adjustments has left many customers feeling frustrated.
As the new pricing looms, passholders have expressed concerns over value for money, especially in light of recent pricing changes.
